Vanilla Custard Sauce
This basic dessert sauce is perfect on fruit, topping cake, or included in your favorite trifle recipe.

Ingredients
- 120 g (6 ) egg yolks
- 240 ml (1 cup) heavy cream
- 120 ml (½ cup) whole milk
- 35 g (¼ cup) all-purpose flour
- 100 g (½ cup) granulated sugar
- 0.12 teaspoon (⅛ teaspoon) salt, optional
- 1 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon) vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon) butter
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Start the machine and slowly increase to its highest speed.
- Blend for 6 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid.
