Our History

Vitamix is proud to be a fourth generation family-owned American company. We've been in business since 1921, and our passion for changing people's lives through whole food nutrition drives everything we do.

In 1949, Vitamix founder William G. "Papa" Barnard created the first infomercial in the U.S. to demonstrate how the Vitamix blender can help families eat healthier with whole foods.
