Going Green Smoothie
This delicious blend of sweet fruits and fresh spinach is a great starter recipe for someone who is new to green smoothies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) water
- 2 cups (300 g) green grapes
- 2 slices (180 g) pineapple, peeled, halved
- 4 cups (120 g) fresh spinach
- 1 (110 g) banana, peeled
- 1 cup (130 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40–50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
- Nutrition note:Grapes and pineapple provide hydration as well as a burst of vitamins C and A, antioxidants, and natural sweetness. Spinach adds a wealth of vitamins K and A, iron, and fiber, supporting energy, gut health and overall health. Bananas contribute potassium and vitamin B6, promoting heart health and energy metabolism. This combination creates a light and refreshing beverage.
