Pumpkin Banana Smoothie
Loaded with nutrients and lending a great taste, pumpkin is a healthy addition to any smoothie. Who needs pumpkin spice latte when you can have this? Add a shot of chilled espresso if you’re really craving a latte experience.
Ingredients
- 1 ⅓ cups (320 ml) vanilla soy yogurt [or low fat vanilla yogurt]
- 1 medium (150 g) orange, peeled
- 1 ⅓ cups (200 g) cooked pumpkin
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 pinches ground nutmeg
- 2 medium (240 g) frozen banana, peeled, halved
- 2 cups (260 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
