Cashew French Onion Dip

A non-dairy solution to a party favorite, this dip tastes just like the real thing.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (120 ml) water
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 cups (225 g) cashews, roasted or raw
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) worcestershire sauce [or vegan Worcestershire sauce]
  • 2 teaspoons minced onion
  • ½ teaspoon salt, optional
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 30-40 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.

  • This is a great alternative to a traditional French onion dip with dairy.Worcestershire sauce has a deep rich flavor use less for a milder flavor.
