Carrot, Ginger and Orange Ice
The vibrant color from the carrots and orange is only enhanced by the zing from the ginger, which all together make for an extra-delicious icy treat.
Ingredients
- 1 (140 g) orange, zested, peeled
- 1 slice (150 g) pineapple, peeled, 1 ½ -inch-thick slice
- 1 (90 g) carrot
- 1 piece (5 g) fresh ginger root, peeled
- 4 dates [or honey, to taste], pitted
- 3 ½ cups (455 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Select the Frozen Dessert program. Start the blender and allow the program to complete, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
- In about 30-60 seconds, the sound of the motor will change and four mounds should form. Stop the machine. Do not over mix or melting will occur. Serve immediately.
