Going Green Smoothie

This delicious blend of sweet fruits and fresh spinach is a great starter recipe for someone who is new to green smoothies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 2 cups (300 g) green grapes
  • 2 slices (180 g) pineapple, peeled, halved
  • 4 cups (120 g) fresh spinach
  • 1 (110 g) banana, peeled
  • 1 cup (130 g) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.

Chef's Notes

  • For a little extra sweetness, add pitted dates to this recipe.

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into an appropriately sized container. Submerge the immersion blender below the surface of the liquid, or as close to the ingredients as possible.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Move the immersion blender around, including up and down, to blend the ingredients for approximately 60 seconds or until desired consistency is achieved.
