Rice Milk

Turn cooked brown rice and dates into a delicious, dairy-free milk.

Rice Milk

Ingredients

  • 4 cups (960 ml) water
  • 1 cup (200 g) cooked brown rice, cooled
  • 8 dates [or or other sweetener to taste], pitted

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 2 1/2 minutes, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.

Chef's Notes

  • Store milk in an air tight container and refrigerate.   Shake well before using.

  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed
  3. Blend for 1 minute.  Place the lid onto the container and store in the refrigerator.  Shake well before use.
