Earl Grey Hot Toddy

Simple mix of fresh brewed earl grey tea, lemon, pear, honey, and whiskey to end your day sipping something cozy by a fire.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480 ml) fresh brewed earl grey tea
  • ½ cup (120 ml) whiskey [or rye]
  • ½ lemon, peeled
  • ½ large (75 g) pear, seeded
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 2 whole cloves

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Hot Soup Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds.
  3. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel studded with a clove and a cinnamon stick.

Chef's Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version replace the whiskey with a good quality white wine vinegar or a champagne vinegar.
