Date Syrup

A delicious sugar alternative that boasts a wide variety of uses.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups (260 g) pitted dates
  • 3 cups (720 ml) water

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Dips & Spreads Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.  Blend for 60 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
  3. Place in a non-stick sauce pot over medium low heat and let reduce by 1/3. You should end up with a product resembling a date paste or syrup when chilled.

  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) water
