Spicy Cucumber Salad (Oi Muchim) [Food Processor Attachment]

Spicy Cucumber Salad (Oi Muchim) is a popular and refreshing Korean side dish (banchan).

Spicy Cucumber Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 (300 g) English cucumber, cut into thirds, halved lengthwise
  • ½ (100 g) onion, halved
  • 1 (20 g) green onion, white and light green parts only
  • 2 garlic clove, minced or crushed
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons (20 ml) low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons Gochugaru
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted

Directions

  1. Fit the Food Processor with the Thick Slicing Disc and secure the lid.
  2. Start the processor and, using the Food Pusher, feed the cucumber through the Small Food Chute opening. Follow with the onion and then the green onion. If the item is too large, cut to size and feed through the Large Food Chute opening.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced vegetables with the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Serve immediately.
