Sichuan Chili Sauce
You can easily prepare this restaurant-quality Sichuan chili sauce at home in just a short amount of time.

Ingredients
- ⅔ cup (160 ml) rice wine vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) sweet soy sauce
- ¼ cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
- 3 Tablespoons (45 ml) soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) sesame oil
- ½ cup (50 g) hot pepper powder
- ⅔ cup (160 ml) tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt, optional
- 2 pieces (20 g) fresh ginger root, 1/4" thick
- 6 cloves (30 g) roasted garlic
- ½ cup (120 ml) hot water
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, Blend for 30 - 45 seconds.
