Pineapple Whole Fruit Juice

Turn fresh pineapple chunks and ice cubes into a refreshing, whole-fruit juice.

Pineapple Whole Fruit Juice

Ingredients

  • 3 slices (400 g) pineapple, peeled, halved, core included
  • 1 cup (130 g) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.  
  3. Blend for 1 minute or until desired consistency is reached.

Chef's Notes

  • Pineapple naturally froths when blended.  A couple of tricks to reduce frothing are to finish the blend on low speed for 15 seconds or strain the mixture through a sieve. Note this will remove fiber from the beverage.For a thinner consistency add some water or maybe boost the flavor and nutrition with coconut water.  You may also freeze the juice to use at a later date.
