Lavender Seasoning
Just in time for grilling season. Make this spice blend with or without salt depending on your preference. Fennel, black peppercorn, lavender, and a touch of honey make this great on vegetables, chicken, or pork.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons (15 g) black peppercorns
- 2 Tablespoons (10 g) dried onion flake
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon fennel seed
- 2 teaspoons dried lavender
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel
- 2 teaspoons crystallized ginger
- 1 Tablespoon granulated honey, optional
- ⅛ cup (30 g) kosher salt, optional
Directions
- Place all ingredients, except the kosher salt, into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- For a fine blend: Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 30 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
- For a coarse blend: Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to Variable 8. Blend for 45 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.Mix with kosher salt if desired.
