Blackberry Iced Tea Bramble
Green tea, blackberries, mint, and lime make up the heart of this cocktail. The same recipe—minus the gin—makes a delicious non-alcoholic mocktail. Tonic or ginger beer adds a bit of effervescence.
Ingredients
-
¾
cup
(180 ml)
unsweet green tea, chilled
-
1
cup
(135 g)
fresh blackberries
-
1
slice
lime, 1/8", with peel
-
6
fresh mint leaves
-
3
Tablespoons
(45 ml)
honey
-
⅓
cup
(90 ml)
London dry gin
-
1
cup
(240 ml)
tonic water, divided use
Directions
- Place all ingredients except for tonic water into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
- Fill each rocks glass 3/4 of the way with ice. Pour 2/3 cup (160ml) blackberry mixture over ice, topping with 1/3 cup (80ml) tonic water for a cocktail stirring to incorporate.
Chef's Notes
- To make this drink non-alcoholic, omit the gin and tonic and use 1 1/3 cup of non-alcoholic ginger beer.
