Turkish coffee’s bold flavor meets creamy indulgence in this caffeinated twist on the classic milkshake. Make this sophisticated sweet treat in just two steps with your Vitamix.
The Turkish method of preparing coffee is legendary—in fact, the word coffee comes from the Turkish word, kahve. Traditionally, making Turkish coffee involved grinding hand-roasted Arabica beans to a fine powder that was brewed in a brass or copper cezve. This recipe uses instant coffee for convenience and you can add cardamom or cinnamon for a boost of flavor.
The Vitamix Culinary Team’s vegan version of this shake trades ice cream for a powerhouse blend of almond yogurt, potassium-rich bananas, and protein-packed cashews. The result? A decadently creamy shake with less sugar and saturated fat than the original.
